While StormPay is NOT a way of receiving credit card payments online, it IS a method of receiving online payments.

Let me explain…

StormPay is kind of like an online community bank. It’s similar to what PayPal was when it first started out. You can essentially transfer money (buy and sell products) between two StormPay members by paying a fee similar to a credit card transaction, but you cannot accept credit cards.

Accounts are free to set up and then you can go through a verification process to ensure you are who you say you are. You can deposit or withdraw funds from your online account and other StormPay members can buy from you by transferring funds to your account.

The fee to you for certified members to deposit to your account is 2.39% + $0.39 If they have a non-certified account the fee is 4.9% + $0.49

It’s not something I recommend as a primary method of accepting online payments for merchandise… it’s much too limiting.
